Andrea (Andy) Solange Sarmonikas
Psychologist | Founder | Clinical Director
I created Ultivate Psychological Health to offer future-focused psychological health frameworks for professionals, leaders and innovators seeking to understand themselves, review how they operate, manage mental distress, and build enriching, sustainable and flourishing human experiences.

"Humans were never meant to just function; they are inherently wired to flourish".
Andy Solange is a Chilean-born bilingual psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi). Her professional experience spans clinical practice, vocational health and leadership development. Andy’s postgraduate research at Bond University examined how social and lifestyle enrichment impact cognitive functioning and mental performance throughout the lifespan. This work laid the foundation for the launch of Ultivate Psychological Health and her career in leadership psychology for professional development and start-up innovation. She has since become a sought-after speaker, consultant, and program developer for professionals navigating the modern workspaces and human development.
"
Through Ultivate, we are redefining what it means to be a leader and a professional in the 21st century: one who is enriched and flourishing in both work and life".
Ultivate Psychological Health is an enriched boutique practice advancing the field of enrichment science for the psychological health of professionals and groups.
Ultivate is now recognised for its work at the intersection of psychology, vocational wellbeing, and health innovation, where programs are designed to equip professionals to move beyond symptom management into human flourishing, social intelligence, and enriched professional ecosystems.
Andy advances Ultivate’s vision that the future of ethical health practice depends on nurturing the psychological health of professionals and their teams, recognising that the psychological health of leaders is inseparable from the quality of biopsychosocial care delivered to their teams and customers. She argues that the power of multidisciplinary advisory peers and reflective practice is essential to sustaining the highest standards of professional practices across industry sectors, including research, education, psychology, medicine, engineering, and technology. Her work emphasises minimising harm while maximising enriched outcomes, human flourishing, modern innovation, and the expression of beauty across cultures.

-
Renewed professional perspective and frameworks aligned with personality factors and personal aspirations.
-

Selected Engagements
IESM Annual Medical Congress, Veracruz, Mexico:
Advancing Psychological Health and Human Flourishing in Aesthetic Medicine
In January 2024, Ultivate Psychological Health was invited to present at the International Congress of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Aesthetic Medicine at the World Trade Center in Veracruz, Mexico. The presentation explored best practice, biopsychosocial care, empirical approaches to leadership, longevity, human flourishing, beauty, and enriched workspaces within medicine. It emphasised that the psychological health of patients is inseparable from the wellbeing of the medical teams who care for them and the institutions that educate and support those professionals. Psychology, medicine, education, engineering, politics, and capital should ultimately serve human and planetary flourishing—not the other way around.
IAAFA Annual Conference, Windsor, United Kingdom:
Where Psychological Health Meets Beauty, Ethics and Modern Medicine
In November 2024, Ultivate Psychological Health was invited as a keynote speaker to present two lectures at the annual IAAFA International Conference in Windsor, United Kingdom, exploring the intersection of psychological health, ethical practice, beauty, longevity, and modern medicine. Since 2022, Ultivate’s international collaborations across Mexico and Europe have brought renewed direction to its psychological practice. The presentation invited clinicians and industry leaders to consider how evidence-based psychology and ethical medicine work together to advance human flourishing, health and beauty.
Ultivate Psychological Health was delighted to return to the international stage alongside the inspirational Dr Rajesh Khanna, Professor of Aesthetic Medicine in the United Kingdom, and an exceptional panel of medical experts for lecture two. The presentation examined historical and cultural understandings of beauty, the influence of globalised aesthetic trends, and the responsibility of modern medicine to remain culturally sensitive while maintaining high international standards of health, ethics, and patient care. This anthropological journey invited practitioners to look beyond narrow ideals of beauty and consider how identity, culture, psychology, and medicine interact in shaping aesthetic choices and human wellbeing.
LCH Queensland Mental Health Commission-funded Workshop, Queensland, Australia:
Cultivating Mental Health and Flourishing in Latin American Communities
In October 2024, Ultivate Psychological Health returned to the Gold Coast to support a Queensland Mental Health Commission-funded workshop addressing mental health in Latin American communities. Presented with the Latin Community Hub (LCH) and Colombian psychologist and Australian Mental Health Coach Daniella Garcia, the program explored stigma, cultural misconceptions, intergenerational trauma, agreeableness, self-leadership, assertive communication, and self-compassion in Spanish-speaking communities. Andy introduced Ultivate’s personally, socially, and intellectually enriched practices for reducing distress, improving quality of life, strengthening cognitive performance, and cultivating human flourishing. Participants left with a practical psychological health roadmap designed to support enriched personal, social, and occupational experiences while recognising that community wellbeing requires more than symptom reduction alone.
Mental Health Awareness Luncheon, Queensland, Australia:
The Power of Community-Led Psychological Wellbeing
At Tracey Horton’s 2023 Annual Luncheon, community leaders and lived-experience coaches came together to explore their powerful role in strengthening mental health in the region. The event highlighted the value of psychosocially enriched experiences beyond clinical settings and the capacity of grassroots initiatives to prevent and reduce everyday human suffering. Through shared stories, laughter, emotion and connection, the luncheon demonstrated how compassion, role modelling and community-led action can create lasting change. The message to coaches was to never underestimate the value of their programs, the influence of their example or the strength of their commitment to coaching others. At the same time, ethical practice requires working within clearly defined areas of expertise and recognising when a person needs clinical or medical assessment. Meaningful transformation begins locally, through informed, compassionate people who understand their communities and are willing to act with courage, humility, care and professional responsibility.
ACM Annual Medical Conference, Queensland, Australia:
The Future of a Flourishing Regional Health Model is Multidisciplinary
The Atlas Concierge Medicine Conference June 2026 brought together physicians, psychologists, engineers, lawyers, politicians, educators, entrepreneurs, health coaches, and innovators committed to shaping a more enriched and flourishing future for human health. Ultivate Psychological Health shared its vision for prevention-focused psychology that moves beyond symptom management toward psychological maturity, human flourishing, and sustainable professional living. The conference highlighted a central theme that complex human challenges cannot be solved by isolated disciplines. Flourishing societies depend on professions that collaborate, challenge conventional thinking, and place human wellbeing at the centre of medicine, enterprise, education, leadership, and innovation.
QLS Annual Law Conference, Queensland, Australia
Neurodiversity, Flourishing and the Future of the Legal Profession
At the Queensland Law Society Annual Gold Coast Conference on June 2026, Ultivate Psychological Health was invited to present a first-time lecture exploring neurodiversity within the legal profession. The audience’s thoughtful questions and reflections demonstrated a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for neurodivergent lawyers, their colleagues and their clients. The presentation challenged deficit-based thinking by shifting the central question from “What is wrong with this person?” to “What conditions help a legal professional flourish?” Neurodiversity is not merely a clinical concept but a human reality present across every profession. Supporting neurodivergent professionals is therefore about more than individual wellbeing. It is essential for retaining valuable talent, strengthening ethical and sustainable workplaces, and, in the case of law, enabling those responsible for justice to perform at their best. When professionals are supported to flourish, they are better positioned to cultivate flourishing teams, communities and societies.
The Philosophy.
"Modern humans are wired to flourish, not just function".
